With the arrival of spring and National Wattle Day on the 1st of September, we’ve been inspired to learn more about the plants and animals that are unique to Australia.

The children have been exploring the significance of the wattle tree, not just as a symbol of our country, but also for its important place in First Nations culture. This learning sparked curiosity about other native plants and flowers, as well as the many Australian animals that live alongside them.

Through stories, discussions, and hands-on experiences, the children have been discovering the rich connections between our land, its people, and the natural world around us at St.ives Chase Kindergarten#stiveschasekindergarten #wattletree #austalianwildlife #kindy #reggiioapproach #reggioinspired #reggioaustralia
